(*1) : CIM client is available in all supported version combinations of CIM provider, Hitachi hfcldd/hfcndd driver, ESXi, and vMA (without 5.0.x/5.1.x).
(*2) : The native driver supports only 16Gbps FC adapter.
(*3) : The native driver supports 8/16Gbps FC adapter.

Known Issues

Updating the Hardware Status information for an ESXi 5.0 Update 1 host takes a long time

The utility tools which use CIM provider are affected by this problem. Please refer to the Article ID 2016538 on https://kb.vmware.com for details.
